2015 MOM ADVENTURE #4
*I am trying to get caught up on Summer Mom Adventures.
For this Mom Adventure we chose to do projects at home.
One Word and Art:
We each picked a word that we want to focus on and engraved them on little medal circles (my mother-in-law gave us the stuff for this awesome project!) We framed our words and they hang in our mudroom.
We read books about people with Integrity and then we drew a picture and wrote our own quote about lessons that we learned.

2015 MOM ADVENTURE #3
2015 MOM ADVENTURE #2
"Unexpected Blessings!"
I took the kids to the temple to take Alexis' pictures in her baptism dress. Apparently, our timing was impecable. We hadn't been at the temple for very long when we looked up and saw a group of people coming towards us. It was the temple President and Sister Okiisi, Elder and Sister Deshler (our area Seventy), Sister Leslie P. Layton of the Young Women General Board, Sister Mary Durham of the General Primary Presidency, and Sister Linda Reeves of the General Relief Society Presidency. We had a wonderful visit with all of them and they wanted their picture taken with Alexis who was getting pictures in her baptism dress!

2015 MOM ADVENTURE #1
You might remember that last year I wrote at article for Power Of Moms called, "Mom Adventures." It is about a summer tradition that we have had for several summers to set aside one day a week that I focus on my kids and we have an adventure together. Here is our first adventure for this summer:
We have been taking walks each morning this week by a beautiful lake near our home. We usually end up walking about 2 miles. Today we were determined to make the full loop around the lake which is about 4 miles. The kids weren't worried about their ability to finish the course, they were worried about my ability to finish the course! I am a bit slower when I am pregnant! The kids were awesome, they pushed the stroller to give me extra speed and literally ran circles around me! We completed the course in 1 hour and 5 minutes! Which is quite remarkable considering the extra weight I carry, the stroller, and the fact that we had six kids! (one of the boys was at basketball camp)
We had so much fun and felt such a sense of accomplishment. After picking up our basketball camp boy we went through a drive thru for hot dogs and went to a park we had never visited before and enjoyed the perfect 65 degree weather!

2014 MOM ADVENTURES, #3
Painting Party. The simplest adventures are usually the most fun! We cut some scrap wood and had so much fun painting it!
